So, if you show up on a busy Friday night and the bar is full, you might have to wait until space opens up. I found the staff to be funny, engaging, professional and quick-witted and, for us, it was an amazing visit. And while the wine list lacks depth, Angelica's primary focus seems to be on a fine selection of aged whiskeys, bourbons and brandy's. I immediately appreciated the dynamic transformation of good over evil and, needing to satisfy my curiosity, thought I'd check it out. Success - for some venues - may be measured by how 'many' people are crowded in 'front' of the bar. The bartender treated us to a sample of a cognac-based Boston Club Punch while we glanced over the cocktail and light food menu. So, truthfully, if the bar and table seats are all taken - no others may enter. The drink was delicious and right up my alley. There's also a string of china teacups hanging along the length of the bar - not as decoration - but as shot glasses for the spirits silhouetted behind them. 4. The reason - aside from the very delicious and 'elevated' cocktail she created for me - was because she was scaling down a ladder when we met. The cocktail menu is entirely comprised of classics, but the drinks are made with a slightly European or Latin American bent, I was assured.
